In 2017,the Ministry of Education issued the Science Curriculum Standard for Primary Education in Compulsory Education.As a result,the initial grade of the Science curriculum in primary schools was adjusted to the first grade,and the specific content objectives were divided into three stages,thus giving science teaching a specific teaching goal and direction.As a comprehensive curriculum,the Science in primary school is not only closely related to geography,physics,chemistry and other courses,but also lays the foundation for the subject curriculum in junior high school.Under the guidance of the important national policy of balanced development of compulsory education,the setting and development of curriculum,the allocation of basic equipment and teachers are more reasonable and satisfactory,and the enthusiasm and interest of teachers and students are higher than before.So it is under these favorable condition that the curriculum of Science in primary school and the Geography course in junior high school are greatly promoted.In spite of this,the present teaching still has a series of problems,such as the low status of the curriculum,the lack of professional teachers,the difficulty for the teaching conditions and equipment to meet the demand,the great difference in the quality of students and so on.If the teaching of Science in primary school and Geography in junior middle school is not effective,it is difficult to connect the subject curriculum in junior high school with the science curriculum in primary school.In view of the problems,the author chose the Science teachers in primary school,Geography teacher in Junior High School,the students in the sixth grade of primary school and in the seventh grade of junior high school from the rural and urban areas in the city of Ruijin as the subjects to carry out the research on the possible connection of the Science teaching in primary school to the Geography teaching in Junior High School.From the questionnaire,it is found that there are some problems in teachers,such as the serious shortage of teachers,the limitation of teachers' professional development,the lack of convergence consciousness of the teachers of the two courses,and the students,especially the unbalanced development of the geographical literacy of the sixth grade students.They do have some problems,such as lack of interests in exploring Science,weak will and so on.The paper demonstrates that there is a close relationship between the two courses.It also designs three teaching plans from the general view of the earth and the material of the earth,the movement of the earth and the content of the earth environment.According to the analysis of the current situation and the empirical research on the connection of the two courses,this paper puts forward the corresponding optimization strategies,and puts forward the improvement measures from the administrative department,the school level,the teachers themselves and the students themselves.Finally,the thesis summarizes the main points,the feedback and the innovation of the research and also the limitation and further questions are listed.
