Physics is a subject based on experiments.The formation of physical concepts and the summary of physical laws must be based on a large number of real and effective objective experiments.However,some experiments are limited by objective conditions,operating objects or other uncontrollable reasons.It is difficult to show good results by using conventional experimental methods to achieve the experimental purpose.However,with the help of modern information technology,the shortcomings in traditional teaching can be remedied and perfected.Reasonable use of Geometric Sketchpad to assist physics teaching can achieve the teaching tasks that are difficult to be accomplished by traditional teaching methods,so as to enhance the effect of physics teaching,improve the quality and efficiency of teaching,and promote teaching reform.It is a "sword" for front-line teachers to make teaching courseware.Firstly,this paper elaborates the background of the problem to be studied.In traditional classroom teaching or physics labs,it is difficult to demonstrate some macroscopic,microscopic,extremely fast and very slow physical processes to students due to the limitations of time,space and experimental conditions.It is necessary to use information technology to assist physics teaching and improve teaching efficiency.Secondly,it introduces the significance,purpose and research status at home and abroad.It also defines the concept of effective teaching,introduces the theoretical basis of relevant courses and several principles to follow,thus elicits the necessity of educational informatization,and introduces the geometric sketchpad,including definition,characteristics,history,usage and advantages in physics teaching.On this basis,taking Diffraction and Interference of Waves as an example,which is an optional course of senior high school physics in PEP 3-4,we design physics teaching with the help of geometric sketchpad,carry out teaching practice,and compare and evaluate it with the traditional teaching mode.Finally,SPSS software is used to analyze the evaluation results before and after the course teaching and evaluate its effect.Practical research shows that the teaching courseware designed by using geometric sketchpad has the effect of enlarging the experiment,raising the qualitative analysis to the height of quantitative description,and vividly and vividly showing the physical process in front of students,so that students can understand these knowledge points more easily and thoroughly.At the same time,it also greatly stimulates students' interest and enthusiasm in learning.Based on the limitations of traditional teaching and the powerful function of geometric sketchpad,it is necessary for front-line teachers to change the traditional teaching mode and flexibly use Geometric Sketchpad to find a more effective teaching mode.
