Teaching is always happening within a certain period of time.Teachers must effectively manage classroom teaching time in order to achieve teaching objectives.The existing research cannot explain what is effective classroom teaching time management satisfactorily,so it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on its connotation,characteristics,influencing factors,evaluation indicators and strategies.Effective classroom teaching time management means that the teacher can rationally plan,configure,implement and monitor the classroom teaching time through the teaching process,and increase the passionate input of teachers and students as much as possible to cultivate the students' knowledge and ability and to improve professional development for teachers.The questionnaire on the behavioral characteristics of effective classroom teaching time management was compiled through reviewing the literature and interviewing teachers.308 primary and middle school teachers were surveyed and the "effective classroom teaching time management evaluation index" was also compiled.Five basic characteristics that teachers can effectively manage classroom teaching time are obtained by using quantitative analysis methods,which are conducting teaching activities guided by teaching objectives;establishing stable classroom management routines;developing and implementing teaching time management plans;stimulating students' interest in learning and maintaining students' attention.It shows the most important indicator is stimulating students' interest in learning,which followed by developing teaching time planning,conducting teaching activities guided by teaching objectives,establishing stable classroom management routines,and maintaining students' attention.High-level teachers focus on student learning,focus on improving students' interest in learning,maintaining students' attention,and pay more attention to the scientific planning and rational use of classroom teaching time.The most important influencing factors of effective classroom teaching time management are comprehending teaching objectives and teaching difficulties and understanding students' learning level(students' acceptance level,psychological characteristics and thinking rules).The most effective strategy is strengthening the study of professional knowledge and deepening the understanding of the teaching content.In order to effectively manage classroom teaching time,teachers can start from the following three steps.First,understand students' cognition development rules and the rules of their brain work,stimulate students' interest in learning and emotional input in the classroom,and increase students' concentrated learning time.Second,optimize the teaching design,and ensure the teaching effect by implementing the best time allocation for different teaching objectives,contents,processes and methods.Thirdly,coordinate teaching time,strengthen teacher time management training,and rationally plan and utilize classroom teaching time.
