The hope of revitalizing the nation lies in education,and the hope of revitalizing education lies in teachers.The quality of teachers directly affects the quality of education.Teacher quality includes teaching ability and professional ethics.Not only do teachers need profound knowledge,but also need lofty ethics.For children aged between 6 and 12,teachers' words and behaviors will exert far-reaching moral impacts on them.Therefore,higher requirements are put forward for primary school teachers' morality.With the development of market economy and the impact of multi-culture,there are many new situations and problems in the respect of teachers' ethics.The phenomena such as weak rational belief,indifferent professional attitude and lack of professional dedication gradually appear,which seriously damage the overall image of teachers and affect the physical and mental development of children.In this form,clarifying the historical track of the development of teachers' morality,defining the characteristics of the development of primary school teachers' ethics and the key points of ethics construction,exploring the new ways and methods of constructing primary school teachers' morality under new circumstances,improving ethics construction level of primary school teachers,are not only beneficial to promote quality education,but also helpful to improve the overall quality of teachers.They are of great significance to run education well in the new era and build a strong education country.Based on the theory of ethics construction,this paper investigated the teachers and students of some primary schools in Changsha through questionnaire survey and interview.The questionnaire is divided into four dimensions according to the relationships between teachers and students,teachers and parents,teachers and colleagues,teachers and education career,so as to comprehensively understand the current situation of primary school teachers' professional ethics in Changsha.Meanwhile,the current situation of teachers' morality construction has been investigated and studied from the aspects of publicity and education,assessment and supervision,rewards and punishments etc.,thus first-hand information having been obtained.Based on the data analysis of comprehensive interviews and questionnaires,this paper has clarified the current situation of ethics construction of primary school teachers in Changsha and considered the main existing problems in this area.Addressing to these problems,this paper explores the reasons from three aspects of the guiding mechanism,dynamic mechanism and regulatory mechanism of teachers' ethics construction,pointing out that the social environment and school environment are the external factors,while teachers' qualities and moral level are the internal factors.Aiming at the causes of the problems,this paper discusses the strategies to strengthen the ethics construction of primary school teachers.It is suggested to start from the macro environment of the ethics construction,emphasizing "people-oriented" as the core,establishing the long-term mechanism as the guarantee,letting ethics construction run through the whole educating and teaching process,building a complete and three-dimensional system,aiming to provide theoretical and practical basis for improving primary school teachers' morality construction.
