Evaluation On The Competitiveness Of China's Sporting Goods International Trade And Its Influencing Factors

As the world's largest exporter of sporting goods,China has always provided the world with highly competitive sporting goods.It is already recognized as a world sporting goods factory.The promulgation of the "Made in China 2025" strategy in 2016 pointed out the direction for the sporting goods industry and manufacturing industry.At the same time,it put forward new requirements.China's sporting goods industry is at a turning point as the good policy and the upgrading domestic consumption.However,in recent years,the international situation has become increasingly complicated,which has also brought challenges to China's sporting goods industry.Besides,the traditional advantages of China's sporting goods manufacturing industry are gradually disappearing and industrial transformation and upgrading are imperative.It is important to seize the opportunity to face challenges in this complicated situation.The international trade competitiveness of sporting goods is the comprehensive ability of the industry of a country/region to survive and sustain its development in the international market.Strengthening the competitiveness of China's sporting goods international trade is help to improve the competitiveness of China's overall international trade,promote the structural reform in the supply side,optimize industrial structure,increase employment opportunities,promote the development of sports industry,and stimulate domestic economic development.This paper mainly has three parts: the analysis of current situation of the international trade of sporting goods,the evaluation of the competitiveness of sporting goods international trade and the analysis of the factors which affecting competitiveness.After a review of international trade theory and the analysis of current situation,clarified the development of world's sporting goods and recognized the role of China.It found that the trend of the world's sporting goods trade is good,the scale is increased,the export regions are concentrated and the import regions are scattered.In China,international trade of sporting goods has a high market share and at an increasing rapid in the proportion of China's trade in goods.Then,the paper used principal component analysis method to evaluate the international trade competitiveness of sporting goods in the world's major sporting goods exporting countries/regions,found that China has strongest sporting goods competitiveness,followed by Indonesia,India,Poland and Tunisia.Based on all countries and developed countries,the multi-regression model is used to analyze the factors affecting the competitiveness of international trade in sporting goods.The result showed that per capita GDP,total labor force and education expenditure has a significant impact to all countries and education expenditure,total trade value and REER have a significant impact to developed countries.Finally,this paper suggested that China should strengthen international communication and cooperation to expand trade channels;conform to the changes in the distribution pattern of the world's sporting goods importing countries and create differentiated sporting goods;enhance the quality of the labor force,increase investment in education,encourage the integration of production,education and research;adhere to reform and opening up,promote industrial transformation,strengthen intra-industry communications between different regions and achieve innovation in competition;create a sound financial environment,avoid exchange rate risks,continue to promote the internationalization of the RMB,and raise awareness of corporate financial risk prevention.
