With the deepening of institutional reforms in universities,and the social and economic transformation,the university teachers have continuously improved their professional qualities while facing new pressures and challenges.The requirements for the knowledge type university teachers have changed from the traditional IQ and logic capacity to the construction of social relations,and the emotional management and application,with the rising of university teachers' job burnout.The anxiety of young university teachers and middle-aged crisis are frequently reported,causing more and more thinking in society.In other words,how to deal with and solve the job burnout problem?Based on the theoretical analysis of the literatures,this study introduces the self-efficacy variables into university teachers' emotional intelligence and job buurnout,and constructs a theoretical model.A total of more than 400 questionnaires are issued in 12 universities across the county for the empirical analysis,including reliability validity analysis,correlation analysis,multiple regression analysis and mediation analysis.The main conclusions are drawn as following:1.The university teachers show significant difference in the gender,teaching age,age,academic title,income,university region,university type and educational background in emotional intelligence,self-efficacy and job burnout.2.The emotional intelligence and self-efficacy level of university teachers is above average,and the burnout level is moderate and far from the extremely serious condition.3.The emotional intelligence and self-efficacy play a forecasts role in the university teachers' job burnout.4.Self-efficacy plays a mediating role in the university teachers' emotional intelligence and job burnout.5.Emotional intelligence and self-efficacy have significant positive correlation;6.Emotional intelligence and job burnout for university teachers have significant negative correlation;7.Self-efficacy and job burnout for university teachers have significant negative correlation.This study combines the previous theoretical basis,introducing the emotional intelligence and self-efficacy into the study of job burnout,to explore the inter-relationship among these three variables and provides new ways and thinking for solving university teachers' job burnout problem and improving the professional development of university teachers.
