A social problem, teacher burnout, has been paid close attention to at present. It describes a series of negative symptoms, such as the physical and psychological exhaustion, the decrease of the working ability, the lose of working enthusiasm, the indifference towards others as well as the low sense of achievement in working, which are caused by the inefficient mitigation of long term working pressure. This paper contrasts the research on this subject home and abroad. It is found that abroad, there are much more researches done on the theory rather than on living examples and although they have the questionnaires for service industry, there is no specific one for teacher burnout. Due to lacking of focalization, they cannot offer the efficient advice on teacher burnout. However, there is less achievements in this field at home, few researches on living examples, and also not many relative research papers and questionnaires.Based on the further interviews and document studies, this paper investigates college teachers in Jilin City via teacher burnout questionnaire. It appears that: 1. There is the tendency of professional languid among the college teachers of Jilin City. Emotional exhaustion is the main symptom. 2. Multi-reasons cause teacher burnout and influence its Three-Dimensions. 3. The degree of workload and the marriage condition and other factors greatly influences the Three-Dimensions of burnout. 4. Teachers' level of attrition not only affects the degree of burnout but also affects the future development of teachers. This achievement, to some extent, will enrich the burnout theory, provide the research support on living examples of teacher burnout. It will also provide some much more operational and practicable advice on lightening, eliminating, and preventing teacher burnout.
