At present, information technology is widely applied in the field of education, changing all aspects of education. In primary and junior middle schools, however, many teachers still use the traditional teaching mode in the information technology teaching.Teaching according to books,Operation and demonstration, repeated training are common in information technology classes. The students' interest on information technology is low, because of the teachers' detailed demonstration and explanation, students lack of space to think. And it's unbeneficial to the cultivation of students ability to learn. Therefore,it's necessary to adopt a new teaching way to reform the traditional information technology classes.Based on the understanding of related research about problem-based learning, combining the theory of constructivism, situated cognition theory and the zone of proximal development theory, and the analysis of the learnig demand of the research object, the problem-based learning process is designed.Setting comparative class and experimental class, and then take the experiment, experimental class use problem-based learning mode in teaching, using traditional way of teaching in comparative class. In the experimental class teaching, design experiment scheme and take some preparation at first, select and reorganize the learning content based on "problems" oriented, and then under the guidance of "problem-based learning process",design problem-based learning process and take two rounds of teaching practice. After the end of each round of teaching practice, the author will reflect on the problems existing in the round teaching, and improve the teaching practice of the next round according the result. In this study, using the interviews, classroom observations, questionnaires and other methods to obtain and analyse data of research, conclude the following three conclusions: 1.Problem-based learning can improve students' interest in learning of information technology;2.Problem-based learning can improve students ability to solve problems;3.Problem-based learning can improve students' ability in cooperative learning.
