Lisu nationality is a member of the Chinese nation‘s family.It is one of the nine minority groups with less direct transition from the primitive society to the socialist society after the founding of the People‘s Republic of China.It has a long history with its own language(lisu language).However,with the development of economy,the increase of population mobility and the widespread promotion of Mandarin Chinese,the number of people using Lisu language and verbal communication is becoming less and less.If it is not protected and inherited,Lisu language is likely to face loss.Therefore,this study selects a primary school in the Nujiang Prefecture of Yunnan Province as a case study,investigates the existing problems,discusses the educational practice of using school-based curriculum to protected and inherit in language education in school education,and proposes an improvement strategy.The study found that this school pays more attention to the protection and inheritance of lisu language.However,in its curriculum,the objectives of the protection and inheritance of Lisu language characters are not clear enough,the arrangement of curriculum structure is not reasonable enough,and the content is relatively and abstract.,separated from the actual life of the students;the conditions forthe implementation of language protection and inheritance of Lisu language in schools are not mature enough,lack of full-time teachers,bilingual teachers are also in short;the textbooks and curriculum resources with unique language and characters are single;the evaluation methods of courses are not perfect,and the teaching is random.In addition,the school‘s environmental creation does not reflect the campus culture with the characteristics of the language,and the channels for students to understand the language are relatively narrow.The research suggests that the school should make clear the aim of language protection and inheritance in the curriculum setting,set up a reasonable school-based curriculum with the characteristics of language protection and inheritance,develop school-based textbooks with local characteristics,and improve the construction of bilingual teachers.In teaching,students should improve their subjective status,explore diverse teaching methods,closely relate students‘ life experiences,and promote the diverse development of students.In addition,the study also recommends that schools create a campus environment with the characteristics of linguistic culture,cultivate students‘ correct national identity awareness,and build a campus culture with linguistic features.
