| National traditional sports are inseparable from the national culture,which is one of the manifestations of national culture and includes the nationality,living habits,geographical environment and other contents of a nation.Through understanding traditional national sports,it is possible for us to have a deeper recognition of the ethnic culture of a nation.Guizhou province is one of the provinces,in which the ethnic minority population is relatively concentrated in China.The ethnic population accounts for37.9% of the total population of the province and there are a total of 49 ethnic minorities who live in Guizhou province.The ethnic minorities in Guizhou province live in a variety of regions of the province,who have formed a rich variety of traditional ethnic sports because of geographical location,climate,topography and other factors.In recent years,our province has paid attention to the rapid development of the province’s economy,improved the quality of life of the people in Guizhou province,and made great efforts on various industries,which resulted in the rapid economic development of some areas and relatively backward economy in some areas.In order to live a better life,young people of all ethnic groups in the region where the economy is backward have moved away from their hometowns and choose to live the modern and fast-developing urban life.As the young people increase their economic income,they have also been involved in various social cultures and forget their own national culture gradually.Given the current development of sports in China,modern sports events have imposed a huge influence on the living space of our national traditional sports.It is just because of these reasons that the national traditional sportsin Guizhou province have gradually changed or even disappeared in recent years.This paper mainly adopts the method of field investigation,which combines with the method of documentary materials and interviews.It takes the current situation of the Buyi nationality’s traditional sports in Guizhou province as the object of the field survey,which mainly aims to carry out the analysis on the problems that are faced by the Buyi nationality’s traditional sports.Besides,this paper has also sorted out the development characteristics,social value,and national cultural characteristics of ethnic traditional sports.Based on the adaptability and innovation of the excellent culture of traditional national sports,this paper can attempt to combine with the national traditional sports,which are about the government’s current protection policies and future development plans,so as to provide some reference suggestions on the protection and inheritance of the traditional sports of the Buyi people in Guizhou province,thereby increasing Buyi people’s attention to the protection and inheritance of their traditional sports and actively taking some corresponding protective measures.Studies have founded that the characteristics of the traditional sports of the Buyi ethnic group in Guizhou are mainly as follows: entertainment,performance,and competition.Most traditional sports such as,throwing flower bags,Buyi baseball,high-stage lion dance,bench dragon,etc.just exist in traditional festival celebrations and national games as performance items in modern society.A small number of traditional ethnic sports,such as vie for thick sticks,have entered the PE classrooms in ethnic areas,which have combined with PE curriculum resources.In recent years,although the protection of the Buyi nationality’s traditional sports has seen certain effects,such effects are not prominent.Judging from the understanding of the Buyi people about their own traditional sports,the middle-aged as well as the elderly people are relatively familiar with the Buyi’s traditional sports and the young people’s understanding of national sports is extremely less,which reflects that young people have extremely low or even lack of identity with national sports culture.The Buyi traditional sports are one of the excellent national cultures of the Buyi ethnic group.If such culture can effectively combine with the country’s emphasis on the protection of traditional national sports as well as the intangible cultural heritage and grasp thecurrent development opportunities,the development that is adjusted to the local conditions can surely make breakthroughs. |
