| In the context of educational reform,the discussion of teachers’ competence and job satisfaction not only responds to the needs of national education development,but also is a hotspot of current educational psychology and management research.It also reflects the predicament of teachers’ occupational survival during the period of education reform.Humanistic care.Building a high-quality teaching team to meet the needs of the construction of the teaching staff is not only the orientation of the national education policy,but also the guarantee for the development of education in China.Therefore,improving teachers’ professional ability,improving teachers’ job satisfaction and improving teaching quality have become the most important factors in developing education and promoting students’ physical and mental health.This paper uses a method of intentional sampling and random sampling to conduct a questionnaire survey of seven primary school physical education teachers in Guangzhou.The data of 603 valid samples are analyzed by one-way analysis of variance,independent sample T test,correlation analysis and other statistical methods.Analyze and understand the status quo of competency and job satisfaction of PE teachers in Guangzhou,and explore the relationship between PE teachers’ competency and job satisfaction and their differences in demographic variables.Research indicates:1.The overall competency of PE teachers in Guangzhou is higher,and the overall satisfaction is basically satisfactory.2.In the demographic variables,different genders,ages,school types,teacher titles,working years limitations,educational level,and marital status have significant differences in the competence of primary school PE teachers in Guangzhou;for example,male physical education teachers are higher than female physical education teachers,physical education teachers over 41 years old are higher than other age groups,and senior professional titles are higher than other professional titles,10 Years of work and above have the highest competency.3.Among the demographic variables,different genders and school types have significant differences in job satisfaction of primary school PE teachers in Guangzhou;for example,male physical education teachers are higher than females,and public schools are higher than private schools.4.There is a significant correlation between the competence of Guangzhou primaryschool physical education teachers and job satisfaction.Primary school physical education teacher competency(personal quality,attention to students,professionalism,interpersonal communication,relationship building,information search,career preferences,respect for others,understanding others)nine dimensions and job satisfaction(internal satisfaction,external satisfaction,overall Satisfaction)There is a significant positive correlation between the three dimensions.5.The competence of Guangzhou primary school physical education teachers can effectively predict job satisfaction and increase with the increase of competency.In the competency dimension,career preference,relationship building,professional literacy and internal satisfaction are positively predicted.Career preference,relationship building and external satisfaction,and overall satisfaction are also positively predicted.Internal satisfaction can better measure the job satisfaction of physical education teachers. |
