It is called STEM which is an abbreviation for Science,Technology,Engineering and Mathematics.Integrative STEM education concept not only supports students' mathematics learning,but also improves students' mathematics attitude.From the perspective of STEM theory,mathematics teaching for secondary vocational school students is a relatively new research field.At present,most of them are in the design stage of teaching implementation,and lacking of specific teaching practice in our country.Therefore,our research designs and implements the mathematics teaching project in secondary vocational schools in the perspective of STEM education.Finally,the teaching practice results are measured with mathematical attitude as an evaluation index.The specific work is as follows:Firstly,through literature analysis,the author combs the STEM education concept,mathematics teaching and mathematics attitude in secondary vocational schools,pays attention to the related research of integrated STEM education in teaching,combs out the concept and evaluation criteria of mathematics teaching under the perspective of STEM education.The author also draws an important conclusion that attitude is an important indicator of STEM course learning results.Secondly,the author summarizes the objectives and teaching process of mathematics teaching for secondary vocational students from the perspective of STEM,and designs related teaching projects.It is based on the STEM educational theory and related teaching research.Finally,a class of animal husbandry and veterinary specialty in DL Agricultural School was selected to implement the teaching project.Through questionnaires and interviews with students,the results show that after four months of STEM-based learning,the students in the experimental class had significant differences in their attitudes toward mathematics compared with those before learning,as well as those in the control class.Thus,it provides a reference for mathematics teachers in secondary vocational schools to improve students' mathematics attitude and implement STEM education.
