Special geographical location,complicated ethnic species and diverse ethnic cultures are the prominent characteristics in the border ethnic areas of Yunnan.Due to various reasons of history and reality,the economic and social development of the frontier ethnic regions is lagging and slowing,and people's ideological concepts is relatively closed and traditional.With the deepening of the country's opening up to the outside world,especially the promotion of the “Belt and Road Initiative”,the border region of Yunnan has become the forefront of opening up and cooperation from the edge of the country.Under such unique natural,human conditions and the background of the times,How to ensure cultural harmony,national unity and social stability in the border areas has become the focus of impacting on the development of the frontier economy,social progress,people's happiness,border security,and national strategy.Multiculturalism education is an educational reform movement carried out by many multi-ethnic countries in the West,which aims to respect and guarantee the equal development and common prosperity of the cultures of all nationalities,and finally to promote national unity.Based on the theory of multicultural education,The study selects one city and two counties of Yunnan border as samples.Through the investigation and objectively grasp the current status of the multicultural education in the sample counties and cities in the early stage.The paper focus and summarize the experience and characteristics.On this basis,this paper also analyzes the main problems,and then puts forward some suggestions for improving the effectiveness of multicultural education.There are seven chapters in the text:The first chapter is the introduction.This paper mainly expatiates the reasons of the thesis,the review of the literature,the purpose and significance of the research,the object and content of the research,and the definition of the related concepts.The second chapter is to analyze the connotation and influence factors of the multicultural education path in the frontier ethnic areas.Based on the basic characteristics of Yunnan frontier areas and the status quo of developing multicultural education in the sample counties and cities to discusses in depth the main factorsaffecting the choice of multicultural education.The third chapter systematically studies to adapt to local conditions and explore the road of multicultural education in Ruili.This chapter comprehensively expounds the innovative multicultural education path,and the achievements and problems from the ways of changing concepts,constructing a good ecology of Multicultural education,discovering the distinctive national culture,and classroom teaching and Buddhist teaching cooperating with each other.The fourth chapter discusses of Gengma to innovation-driven and expand the road to multicultural education.It mainly expounds the integration of multicultural education path,and uses the advantages of different fields and different groups to innovate the ways of multicultural education.The fifth chapter comprehensive analysis and more complete presentation to seize the opportunity,innovate the road of multicultural education about Mengla County.It mainly sums up the paths of multicultural education through the creation of a national unity and progress demonstration zone in Mengla,including builds the nationality characteristic village,developing the bilingual education,and other path innovation,and to carry out multicultural education in depth.The sixth chapter is a comprehensive analysis of the results,problems and causes of the innovative multicultural education path in the sample counties and cities.Through the comparative analysis of the exploration of the multicultural education path in the sample counties and cities,summarizing its main features,the results achieved,the problems and influencing factors.The last chapter is thinking and suggestion.This paper discuss that some misunderstandings should be avoided about innovating multicultural education path in the ethnic minority areas of Yunnan,and make clear requirements for grasping the basic characteristics of multicultural education path innovation,finally to put forward practical and effective suggestions.
