As an image historical material,old photos play an important role in the study of history.Similarly,historical teaching,the image of the old photos,combined with the textual history,can better interpret history and complement history.The authenticity,intuition and image performance of the old photos effectively provide students with interesting historical situations,attract students’ attention,and enable students to devote themselves to the history classroom,thus deepening the students’ historical analysis ability.Nowadays,although old photos appear frequently in textbooks and exams,it is still rare to apply them to teaching.This article will focus on this status quo,taking old photos as the research object,under the guidance of the "General High School History Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)",using pedagogy,psychology theory,using inductive,analytical,observation,and literature methods.And other methods,combined with their own teaching practices,to explore the reasons why old photos are not valued,trying to propose strategies to solve.In the introduction part of the paper,the reasons for the topic selection and the related research at home and abroad are discussed.The second part defines the concept of old photographs,and introduces in detail the categories and functions of old photographs in the history of high school,forming a complete system.In the third part,this paper combines the teaching practice,through the questionnaire to the students in the internship school,investigates the current situation of the use of old photos in high school history teaching,and analyzes the reasons for preparing for the next research.In the fourth part,according to the survey results,the teaching strategy is proposed,the teaching design is carried out,and it is applied to the actual teaching,so as to build a bridge to explore history through the old photo tool.This is a highlight of this article.Finally,proceed from the reality,reflect on the results of the case implementation,and hope to help the future history teaching in high school.
