The inquiry teaching method meets the basic requirements of mathematics curriculum standards and gradually becomes the mainstream of high school mathematics teaching methods.High school mathematics inquiry teaching can effectively improve the efficiency of classroom teaching,cultivate students' ability of inquiry and innovation,and improve the comprehensive level of teacher teaching.In order to ensure the operability and effectiveness of inquiry teaching,this paper uses the methods of literature review,case analysis,classroom observation,interview research and questionnaire survey and so on,the research background and research significance of the high school mathematics inquiry teaching are expounded.The research status of inquiry teaching in domestic and foreign scholars are briefly analyzed.The connotation and theoretical basis of high school mathematics inquiry teaching are described,the characteristics of inquiry teaching in mathematics are given and the strategies and principles of high school mathematics inquiry teaching are Summarized.Combining analytic geometry(in the case of conic curves),inequalities,plane vectors,and functions(for example,trigonometric functions with arbitrary angles),a case study of high school mathematics inquiry teaching is conducted,it is proposed that the high school mathematics inquiry teaching should focus on the students as the main body and cultivate the students' divergent thinking teaching thoughts.Applying the inquiry teaching method to the experiment of high school mathematics classroom teaching and using mathematics education evaluation methods,the implementation effect of inquiry teaching is tested;Questionnaires about learning situation are conducted on students,teachers are interviewed about inquiry-based teaching,the results of the questionnaire survey and interview research are organized.It is concluded that inquiry-based teaching can enhance students' self-directed learning consciousness and strengthen teachers' professional teaching ability.High school mathematics inquiry teaching is extremely important for teachers' teaching and students' learning: it not only helps to expand the knowledge reserve ofteachers,but also promotes the all-round development of teachers;it also helps to strengthen students' awareness of cooperation and communication,and cultivate students' ability to be practical.
