The Chemistry Curriculum Standards for General Senior High Schools(2017edition)determined that the goal of chemistry curriculum is to develop students’ core competence in chemistry.Chemistry experiment teaching is an important part of chemistry teaching,which plays an important role in the cultivation of students’ core quality of chemistry.This study selects some middle schools in Chongqing to investigate the implementation of the new curriculum standards in the chemistry experiment teaching of high schools in Chongqing,and on the basis of the investigation,puts forward the corresponding improvement strategies.This study adopts a combination of literature analysis,questionnaire survey and interview survey.On the basis of literature analysis,the present situation of chemistry experiment teaching in middle schools in China is basically understood,and the contents of the questionnaire survey are determined in combination with the new curriculum standards.The contents of the questionnaire survey for teachers include the basic information of teachers,the basic conditions of the school,teachers’ understanding of the value and function of chemical experiment,teachers’ understanding of the new curriculum standard chemical experiment,and teachers’ teaching practice of chemistry.The content of students’ questionnaire survey includes four dimensions: students’ basic information,students’ understanding of chemical experiments,students’ sense of experience and participation in chemical experiments,and students’ expectation of chemical experiments.In view of the closed nature of the questionnaire questions,an interview outline similar to the dimensions of the questionnaire was drawn up.Through the investigation,it is found that the current situation of chemistry experiment teaching in middle schools in Chongqing is relatively ideal,but there are still some places to be improved.Through the research results,the following conclusions are drawn: first,the experimental resources of the school can basically meet the experimental teaching,but there are still experimental instruments and drugs need to be timely supplemented,the opening of the laboratory needs to be properly opened,and the training of experimental skills for teachers and experimenters needs to be strengthened.Second,teachers fully realize the value of chemical experiment,but the practice of chemical experiment teaching needs to be strengthened.Third,the evaluation system of student chemistry experiment needs to be improved,and the current evaluation method is relatively single.Fourthly,the integration of chemical experiment teaching and information technology needs to be strengthened.Based on the conclusions,corresponding suggestions are put forward.First,schools should supplement chemical experimental instruments and drugs in time,properly open chemical laboratories,and strengthen the skill training of teachers and experimenters.Second,teachers should implement the teaching materials experiment teaching,chemistry experiment teaching as far as possible to explore,miniaturization and interesting.Thirdly,education departments and schools should improve the evaluation system of students’ chemical experiments to provide various references for teachers to evaluate students’ chemical experiments.Education departments and schools shall establish an evaluation system for teachers’ experimental teaching and supervise the completion degree of teachers’ chemical experimental teaching.Fourthly,teachers should strengthen the integration of chemical experiment and information technology,and play the role of modern information technology.
