Research On The Media Image Of Teachers In Sina.com In Recent Ten Years

In recent years,news related to teachers has become a hot topic among the public and media.Teachers are important promoters of China's educational cause.The image of teachers reported by the media plays an important role in teachers' understanding of themselves and the outside world.Based on the framework theory and content analysis method,this paper studies the teachers' news reports from 2010 to 2018 on sina.com.409 qualified samples were selected for quantitative research from three directions: reporting object,reporting form,reporting position and theme.This paper studies how news media produce,present and construct the image of teachers,and reflects on the problems and tendencies of network media in the process of shaping the image of teachers,and puts forward feasible Suggestions.According to the data,sina.com teachers' news reports are objective,neutral and balanced.The media image of sina.com teachers shows three limitations: first,the reporting objects are unbalanced,with high attention of urban teachers,low attention of rural teachers,high attention of higher education teachers and low attention of off-campus teachers.Secondly,the report forms are single,journalists are the main sources of information,teachers' right of speech is insufficient,news communication is dominant,and the comment genre is missing.Moreover,teachers' image is solidified and stigmatized,misleading the public cognition.Aiming at the above deficiencies,effective countermeasures are put forward for the image report of teachers on sina.com.
