Education is the foundation of a century-long plan.In the current complex international situation,the competition of education and talents is increasingly fierce.The cultivation of high-quality talents and the realization of high-level education are inseparable from University teachers.The important position of this group in the social system is self-evident and this group has important research value.In addition,in recent years,many reports on university teachers by the Internet media have pushed university teachers more and more frequently to the public’s view,and the attention of this group has increased unprecedentedly.Therefore,the study of media’s report on university teachers and the construction of university teachers’ media image is of great significance.Based on the framework theory,this paper takes China Educational Newspaper as the research object,trying to analyze what kind of media image of university teachers is constructed by China Educational Newspaper,and how the media image of university teachers has undergone changes and development in different historical stages.This study is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly elaborates the origin and significance of the study,combs the relevant literature,and gives a brief description of the sample overview.In the second part,referring to Zang Guoren’s high,middle and low-level classification of the framework,the statistical analysis of 1366 reports collected was carried out.The third part summarizes the characteristics of the media image construction of university teachers in China Education Daily,the changes of the media image of university teachers with the development of the times,and the influencing factors of the changes.The fourth part examines and reflects on how to further optimize the media image construction of university teachers in China Educational Daily,and puts forward the following suggestions on relevant issues: respecting the law of news communication,integrating positive propaganda with public opinion supervision;balancing the topic setting and reporting to return to rationality;promoting visual reporting,enhancing the audience’s reading experience,etc.,so as to present the media image of university teachers more comprehensively,objectively and stereoscopically.
