The early days of PRC,Chinese proficiency of students was low,reflecting directly by their poor writing level.Teachers at that time “highlighted reading but not writing”,and paid little attention to the composition teaching and overlooked the writing training to students in the educational process.Mr.Zhu Dexi,a famous Chinese paleographer,linguist,grammarian,and educator,who was interested in composition teaching,published many works on it and putted forward a string of viewpoints with guiding values,which had positive significance to change the status of composition teaching at that time.At present,the study on Mr.Zhu's composition teaching ideas is not only small in quantity,but lack of overall consciousness and not comprehensive in the research contents.Therefore,this paper aims to systematically and comprehensively analyze Mr.Zhu's ideas,hoping to bring certain enlightenment to current composition teaching through research.This paper consists of five parts to research Mr.Zhu's composition teaching ideas.The introduction mainly surrounds the discussion on the three aspects of the topic and significance,literature review and research situation,research contents and methods.The second part is predominantly to explore the social background and subjective reasons for the formation of Mr.Zhu's ideas.The third part comprehensively summarizes the main contents of Mr.Zhu's ideas,and primarily discusses his concepts of theme,structure,representation,language,training and evaluation for composition teaching.The fourth part combines the current situation of composition teaching,expounds the enlightenment and significance of Mr.Zhu's ideas on establishing linguistic normative consciousness,cultivating students' ability to perceive life,advocating accurate and natural style,innovation consciousness,and highlighting literacy training and the evaluation phase,etc.The last part,which is the conclusion,mainly discusses the inheritance and innovation of Mr.Zhu's ideas,while analyzes the limitations of his ideas.
