Research On Current Situation And Development Trend Of Operation And Management Of Natatorium In Yantai City

With the continuous popularization and development of swimming,adequate venue and facilities have become necessary conditions for the development of swimming.As one of the most important places for people to do swimming,good operation of swimming pools guarantees the continuous development of swimming.Therefore,operation and development matters to the popularity of swimming events.By means of literature,questionnaire,field study,mathematical statistics and so on,this paper makes an in-depth investigation on the operators,coaches,lifeguards and consumers from 13 swimming-pool companies in Yantai City.This paper analyses the current situation of Yantai’s operation and management,and makes an analysis of its development trend.The purpose is to supplement the relevant theory of the current situation and development of stadiums and gymnasiums,at the same time,to provide a theoretical basis for the operation and healthy development of swimming pools in Yantai City.The results of this study are as follows:(1)In the recent years,although the number of swimming pools in Yantai City is increasing continuously,the total number is still relatively small,and the per capita of the swimming pool is insufficient.The overall regional distribution is uneven,the sizes and the types of the swimming pools are different;most swimming pools are25m-standard size swimming pools,accommodating a small number of people.This distribution status is closely related to the economic development of the region,the consumption level of the people and the fitness consciousness of the masses.The swimming pool of Yantai City is dominated by the swimming pool of commercial fitness club,and the operation mode is mainly enterprise independent management mode,the operation mode and content are different between the adult consumers and the young children consumers,and the operation mode and content are different between the adult consumers and the young children consumers.There is little difference among operation contents of each swimming pool,lack of innovation and uniqueness,and some rules and regulations are irregular.(3)Yantai swimming pool is all open throughout the year,the relationship between supply anddemand and the utilization rate of venues are greatly affected by seasonal factors.Some swimming pools in the business philosophy are relatively backward,and the market development mode needs to be improved.The operation efficiency of swimming pool is good,but the utilization of events and other venues is not good.(4)Yantai Natatorium operators’ age structure is younger,most of them are undergraduate,short of management experience and career,and they behave well during the the management training of swimming pools.Young people take the majority of l coaches and lifeguards in Yantai swimming pools,the number of men is far more than women;Coaches and lifeguards generally own shorter working years and high turnover rate with large mobility of personnel,often lack of qualification certificates;they spend long working hours in peak swimming season,suffering large workload and work intensity.(6)Coaches pay more attention than lifeguards to swimming professional training because the average income of coaches,consisting of several parts,is much higher than the average income of lifeguards.Lifeguards,mostly professional,tend to take part-time jobs,causing some hidden troubles in the safety and security of swimming pool.(7)The consumers of Yantai Natatorium is mainly young people,the participants cover many professions,limited in the cognition of swimming;from the perspective of economy,most consumers are the middle and high income people,with stronger and rational consumption consciousness.The purpose of exercise is to strengthen the physique and to shape,and the exercise time is fixed and regular.According to the present situation of operation and management of Swimming Pool in Yantai City as well as the analysis of impact factors of Yantai Swimming Pool,the development about Yantai Swimming Pool can be discussed from the five aspects:(1)The number of Yantai Swimming Pool is increasing and the scale is becoming larger.(2)Yantai Swimming Pool tends to provode more diverse functions and more diversified levels.(3)The market of Yantai Swimming Pool shows a more standardized trend under the increasingly prudential supervision of the government to the swimming pools.(4)The awareness of mass fitness in Yantai Cityis on the rise,so does the demand for the swimming pool.(5)The number of employees in Yantai Swimming Pool is increasing and their overall quality is improving.
