| STEM education combines science,technology,engineering and mathematics to promote interdisciplinary learning.Primary science is a comprehensive discipline that covers geography,physics,and chemistry.The combination of STEM education and elementary science curriculum abroad aims to cultivate students’ STEM literacy and improve their ability and creativity to solve practical problems.The research results are remarkable.Since China’s research on STEM education started late,there is no mature teaching model and evaluation index system.Based on the case study,combined with the actual situation of the N primary school science curriculum,this study constructs the teaching model of the primary school science curriculum based on the STEM concept of the N school,and based on the constructed teaching model,the teaching content of the three modules of the fifth grade of the primary school science.Teaching design,using three-round action research to apply teaching design in actual teaching,using classroom observation and evaluation tool UTOP for classroom observation,evaluation from four dimensions: classroom environment,execution effect,curriculum structure and teaching content;from science and technology Questionnaire surveys students with engineering,teaching model adaptability and satisfaction dimensions;students are evaluated from three aspects: task design and operation,group cooperation,and information expression.After analyzing the collected data,the following conclusions are drawn: the teaching design of the N primary school science curriculum based on the STEM concept is applied to the teaching practice,and the teaching effect is better,which ismanifested in the following points: the students have a firm grasp of scientific knowledge;The students’ hands-on ability is improved,the team’s cooperation ability is improved,the students’ scientific literacy is improved,and the expected teaching goals are realized.This research has improved the teaching methods of the N primary school science class,the teaching objectives are not very good,and the four dimensions of scientific inquiry,scientific attitude,science and technology society and environment,and scientific knowledge are improved,and the students’ scientific literacy is improved.School teacher education provides a certain reference,which helps primary school science teachers who have not been exposed to STEM education to understand and face STEM education. |
