In the 1930 s,the teacher training mode of Teachers College Columbia University underwent a transformation,which has its profound background.During this period,with the popularization of basic education,the number of students increased sharply,the types of schools tended to diversify,and the curriculum was reformed accordingly.Teachers' qualification certificates are gradually transiting from county-level management to state-level management,and the certification system is further developed and improved.In the United States,some new trends of thought on teacher education have emerged,attacking the traditional teaching content and teaching methods.These have had a wide impact on teacher education.At the beginning of the 20 th century,the dean of Teachers College Columbia University adjusted the management model and introduced some excellent scholars,which is very important.In the 1930 s,the transformation of teacher training mode in Teachers College Columbia University was mainly manifested in three aspects.for updating the teacher training mode.Firstly,the training objectives of this period are from skilled teachers to compound teachers,and the level of teacher training is from bachelor's degree to master's degree.Secondly,it expands the curriculum subjects,increases the teaching content which links up with the middle school,and adjusts the curriculum structure.Finally,the change of enrollment standards and training methods,and the combination of theory and practice are emphasized in the teaching process.After the transformation of teacher training mode in the 1930 s,Teachers College Columbia University has trained a number of excellent teachers for American primary and secondary schools,improved the level of running schools and academic reputation,and then led to the development of American normal education.This is due to the timely adjustment and establishment of scientific training objectives,the continuous updating of curriculum content,and the strengthening of middle and small schools' Cooperation.In the process of training teachers,our country should adjust the training objectives timely according to social needs,adjust and improve the curriculum system of teacher education,and pay attention to the integration of curriculum learning and educational practice.
