| Composition teaching plays an important role in Chinese teaching in high school and has a positive effect in cultivating students’ core qualities.Chinese teachers in Number 2 Middle School of Cenxi(“Cenxi Number 2 Middle School”)have spared no effort to improve students’ writing skills and have done a lot of useful explorations.This article mainly uses literature research,questionnaire survey,case analysis to carry on the research.We will first use questionnaire survey to learn about the current situation of high school students’ writing and teacher’s composition teaching in the Cenxi No.2 middle school.Based on this,teaching practice can be understood and analyzed.Some useful explorations of composition teaching in the school will be sorted out,as well as the problems that need to be solved,and so the success and shortcomings of composition teaching in the school can be concluded.Next,considering the real teaching practice of the Cenxi No.2 middle school,in order to improve the teaching level of school,following new strategies are proposed.At last,based on a composition teaching design in Cenxi No.2 middle school,relevant analysis and reflection will be made.The content of this article is structured as follows:The introduction mainly elaborates the background and the significance of the study of the Chinese composition teaching in high school.It summarizes and sorts out the current situation of studies on Chinese teaching in high school and defines the research methods.The first part discusses the role of Chinese composition teaching in the cultivation of core literacy in Chinese language from four aspects,which are language,thinking,appreciation and culture.The second part is to understand the situation of students’ composition study and teacher’s composition teaching in Cenxi No.2 middle school by questionnaire,through which,the specific situations of students’ writing interests,reading habits,writing confusion,and given suggestions will be learned.In terms of the teaching situation,through the investigation,we’ll learn about the schedule of composition teaching,as well as commenting methods,direction and teacher’s full involvement.The third part is mainly about exploring the cause of the advantages and disadvantages of composition teaching in the Cenxi No.2 middle school.We’ll first make some helpful explorations in promoting the students’ ability of accumulation,appreciation and imagination in composition teaching in the Cenxi No.2 middle school.The following strategies are included:creating a scholarly campus to richen writing source;organizing abundant language activities to provide more writing experience;applying multiple commenting systems to increase writing efficiency;using school-based textbooks to raise writing confidence.Then,this article will point out the shortcomings in composition teaching: utilitarian writing purpose which leads to student’s interest lacking in writing;lack of accumulation which leads to weak expression;technique overuse,leading to emotion distortion;neglecting logic,leading to logical confusion;lack of innovation,resulting in single teaching mode;lack of “teacher’s full involvement”,causing insufficient demonstration.The fourth part is the most important chapter of this article,which focuses on the strategies to improve the teaching level of Chinese composition in Cenxi No.2 middle school.Considering the teaching practice of the School,following new strategies are proposed:First,Focus on motivational demonstration and cultivate students’ interest in writing.Detailed practices include: simplify goals and eliminate fear;pay attention to inspiration and establish writing confidence;broaden horizons to discover and pass on the joy of writing;put emphasis on demonstration and experience students’ psychology.Second,the ways are diverse and the language is trained.The language expression is mainly promoted by “speaking”,“reading” and “practicing”.Combine speech,reading and writing to enhance students’ language skills.Third,seek truth and truth,and publicize the article personality.Over emphasis on essay skills can easily lead to stiff stereotypes.To be creative,"seeking truth" comes first,and secondly,students should be encouraged to freely use their imagination and thinking skills,to think more,and express themselves freely and personally.Fourth,multi-directional thinking,improve the quality of composition.In the composition teaching,training students’ writing thinking can not only improve their writing ability,but also fully benefit their Chinese language learning.In composition teaching,this article is going to make training and explorations from such aspects as causal thinking,vertical thinking,dialectical thinking,associative thinking,and creative thinking.Training causal thinking,enables students to comprehend the connotation;training longitudinal thinking makes the article rigorous and clear;training dialectical thinking makes the article have and show logic;training associative thinking can help enrich article’s content;training creating thinking makes article novel and agile.Fifth,multi-dimensional commentary,deepen the impression of composition.Writing commentary is an important part in teaching composition,but it is not the end of the composition.In addition to the traditional commentary in reviewing section,following ways will be explored:students amend their articles first,then teachers amend and do evaluation;students make amendment to each other’s article,then teachers re-amend and re-evaluate;making twice evaluation,in which teachers do the amendment with students simultaneously then make evaluation later;teachers teach accordingly,and give comment face to face.Sixth,Enrich knowledge and enhance teacher literacy.To do which,teachers can resort to following methods: read daily,develop a writing habit,and persist in learning excellent traditional culture.In the fifth part,a composition teaching design in the Cenxi No.2 middle school will be taken as a case to carry out relevant analysis and reflection.Cooperating with practice,the theory forged by exploration guides the current composition teaching practice.It’s been proved that the essay teaching strategy as explored is in line with the teaching situation of the school,which is feasible and effective,and it can continue to be adopted,promoted,and continuously improved.The last part is summary and reflection.The research shows that the teaching strategies proposed by this article provide reference for scientific and targeted teaching practice,and the research and practice of composition teaching in the Cenxi No.2 middle school have also achieved certain success.Of course,due to the limited reservation of theoretical knowledge and practical experience,inevitably there are still many shortcomings in this article.In the future teaching practice,drawing on the teaching experience and theory summarized in this paper,teaching strategies will be revised and improved continuously so it can be better applied to composition teaching,striving to increase the level of composition teaching. |
