Mathematics literacy is very important to the growth of a student and the development of a country.However,the rigid teaching mode makes many students do not like or even hate learning mathematics.Teachers of mathematics should pay attention to the study of teaching mode,change students' attitude towards mathematics learning,and improve their own professional level."Student-centered,question-oriented and aimed at cultivating students' accomplishment" is the design principle of the teaching mode of "Reading,Questioning,Talking,Practicing,Explaining " in eighth grade mathematics."Reading Mathematics " means reading a textbook before class and completing reading notes and exercises."Questioning Mathematics " includes students' answers to teachers' questions and students' questions in the process of reading textbook,as well as questions and answers in class."Talking Mathematics" refers to students talking about mathematical concepts or theorems and their thinking and methods of solving problems in class."Practicing Mathematics" refers to variation exercises in the form of small notes."Explaining Mathematics" refers to the heuristic teaching conducted by teachers in order to make up for the deficiency of students' mathematics saying.Reading,Questioning,Talking,Practicing,Explaining interact and merge with each other in no fixed order.This study aims to solve the following problems: How does the mathematics teaching mode of "Reading,Questioning,Talking,Practicing,Explaining " unfold in the eighth grade? Can the teaching mode of “Reading,Questioning,Talking,Practicing,Explaining " change students' attitude towards mathematics learning and improve their mathematical learning ability? How to position the role of teachers and students in the teaching mode of "Reading,Questioning,Talking,Practicing,Explaining "? What role does the research on the teaching mode of " Reading,Questioning,Talking,Practicing,Explaining " have on the professional development of teachers?The action research on the teaching mode of "Reading,Questioning,Talking,Practicing,Explaining" was implemented in the eighth grade of an ordinary middle school in Pudong new area of Shanghai.The action study was divided into two rounds.In the first round of action research,teachers provide necessary guidance and training to students,and combine the five mathematical teaching activities of "reading","questioning","talking","practicing" and "explaining" to form the teaching mode.Based on the first round of action research,the second round of action research improved and further implemented the teaching mode according to the opinions and suggestions of the peer teachers.Through two rounds of action research,the author found that the teaching mode of "Reading,Questioning,Talking,Practicing,Explaining" changed students' attitude towards mathematics learning,improved students' mathematical learning ability,and created a new type of teacher-student relationship.The research on the teaching mode of "Reading,Questioning,Talking,Practicing,Explaining" can help teachers to change their views on mathematics education,enrich their professional knowledge,improve their teaching level and reflective ability in mathematics teaching.
