Mathematics journals are that students recall the understandings, evaluations and suggestions of the mathematics teaching contents with journals every time, including some real mentalities and thoughts in the process of mathematics teaching.This study introduces mathematics journals into mathematics teaching in senior high school to explore the influences of mathematics journals on students' learning interests, attitudes,processes and methods; The influences of mathematics journals on the communication between teachers and students; The influences of mathematics journals on students' grades.After refering to a large number of literatures, the study based on the Mathematics Curriculum Standards, the constructivism theory,metacognitive theory and Maslow's hierarchy needs theory,comprehensively use the methods of questionnaire, experiment,interview and other research methods, combined with teaching practices of a semester to expound the values and meanings of mathematics journals.The study is composed of four aspects as follows:(1) Inverstigating students' learning situations of using words torecord their mathematics and the awarenesses and demands to mathematics journals. The results of the survey shows that majority of students are not used to recording their own learning process with words. In addition, although students don't understand mathematics journals, they showed great interests in mathematics.(2) Summing up writing strategies of mathematics journals in different types by studying the types and characteristics of mathematics journals.(3) After carrying on mathematics journals teaching for a term in two experimental classes, the study investigated the influences of mathematics journals on students' mathematics learning interests,attitudes, processes and methods, abilities of reflection, and the communications between teachers and students and so on through questionnaire, then come to a conclusion about the influences of mathematics journals on students' math performances in senior high school combined with the mathematics scores of pre-test and post-test.(4) Finally draw the conclusion: mathematics journal can deepen students understandings of knowledge, improve learning interests;Adjust states and learning attitudes of learning; It is convenient for students to find problems, optimize the learning process and methods;It is helpful to summarize knowledges, improve the abilities of reflection; It can strengthen the communications between teachers and students and improve students' performances in senior high school.
