The core issue of this study is the alleviation effects of family ritual communication on pressures of only-child family. With the first generation of only children born from 1976 to 1984 entering the family formation period, great risks and pressures are concentrated in their families. The relief of family pressure depends not only on the improvement of national policy, but also on the enhancement of stress coping ability within the family.Family communication is an important part of family resilience, with the ritual communication activities playing an important role in the treatment of family treatment problems, which can help families cope with pressures. The main body of the study includes four parts: Chapter 3,"Situation Research and Judgment" uses the method of questionnaire survey, and based on ABC-X model, investigates the current situation of stress sources in only-child families in China. The study finds that multiple stress sources coexist in only-child families, economic pressure, pressure of supporting the elderly and raising children dominate, family stress coping resources are unstable and only-child families generally have positive perceptions of stress problems.Chapter 4 "Revealing mechanism" uses historical literature and induction, introduces Collins' interactive ritual chain theory, reveals the decompression mechanism of ritual communication, and emphasizes the key role of mutual focus, shared emotional state and moderate feedback reinforcement for family stress relief.Chapter 5 "Deductive Practice" uses deductive method to infer six situations of family ritual communication,namely,Focusing/Insufficient feedback,Focusing/Moderate feedback,Focusing/Over feedback,Focus shift/Insufficient feedback,Focus shift/Moderate feedback,Focus shift/Over feedback? Then,we select typical cases to conduct in-depth interviews to explore the communication of ceremonies in the real life of the only-child family. We find that there are many ceremonies in the only-child family, including: Carnival ceremony, reclusion ceremony, commemorative ceremony, accompanying ceremony, dialogue ceremony, belief ceremony, symbolic exchange ceremony, old things farewell ceremony, riskresponse ceremony, etc. These ceremonies may come out the failure situation caused by insufficient and excessive feedback.Chapter 6,Strategic Suggestions, proposes family stress relief and coping strategies from the perspective of ritual communication, including focus control strategy, emotional sharing strategy, moderate feedback strategy and optimal combination strategy. As far as practical significance is concerned, this study has a profound understanding of the contemporary one-child families affected by normal pressure and sudden events under the policy changes and the fluctuation of market logic. To put forward specific and feasible family communication strategies can reduce the vicious consequences of overweight negative emotions and pressures, and meet the practical needs of the only-child families in the transition period to resist risks and relieve pressures.
