The Effects Of Leadership On Group Creativity:The Chain Mediation Of Group Climate And Voice Behavior

There are much more creative group activities through university students.However,most studies about group creativity are conducted in corporation management circumstance.It is rare to study group or team creativity in students.Besides,many studies talk about the relationship among the total points of different variables,but lack discussing about the relationship through dimensions of distinct variables.Thus,it is tough to find what kind of leadership and what kind of group climate are effective to the group creativity.My research would discuss the exact components of leadership and group climate to improve members' positive behaviors and group creativity.According to the results,we can let the tutors know that how to select and train students' leaders and how to create a team climate which could benefit the creative groups.Here are important findings in my research:(1)On individual level,every variables are not significantly different between different genders.And the scores on group creativity are different in different grades.The freshmen think their group activities are the most creative.The scores on voice behavior are different in different role in the group.The core members appear significantly higher than ordinary ones.(2)On group level,there are no significant difference between groups which attend innovation competitions and groups which participate in innovative projects.And long-term groups and temporary groups don't differ in transformational leadership,group climate,voice behavior and group creativity either(3)The serial mediation of total points of group climate and voice behavior between total points of transformational leadership and group creativity is not significant.That is to say that some ingredients of leadership and group climate don't come into effect among the development of group creativity.(4)Specific components in transformational leadership can develop specific group climate,to encourage the voice behavior in group and finally to make the group creativity high.More specifically,inspirational motivation and individualized consideration which belong to transformation leadership,and vision,participation safety and interaction frequency which belong to group climate are playing a substantive role in the chain mediation model.
