College and university teachers are the fundamental guarantee to improve the quality of teaching,and the main force to promote the development of colleges and universities and shape their teaching culture.As a core competence of teachers,the instructional leadership not only helps promote the comprehensive development of students,but also becomes the decisive force of college reform.In recent years,teachers' instructional leadership has become a hot topic in the education field at home and abroad.However,the research on teachers' instructional leadership mainly concentrates on the primary and middle school stages,while the research on instructional leadership of college and university teachers is scarce.Under such a background,it is necessary to study the teaching leadership of college and university teachers.In this paper,theoretical research and empirical research are both adopted to study problems related to teachers' instructional leadership of college and university with literature research,comparative and interviewing methods.In theoretical research,by analyzing the relevant literature of teachers' instructional leadership at home and abroad,as well as comparing and analyzing the similar concepts with teachers' instructional leadership,the connotation of the instructional leadership of college and university teachers is clarified.Then,this paper interpret the forms of expression of instructional leadership of college and university teachers from the micro and macro levels and concludes three characteristics of college and university teachers' instructional leadership.In empirical research,by interviewing college and university teachers,the affirmative aspects and the problems of instructional leadership of college and university teachers are summarized.On one hand,it is worth affirming that teachers pay enough attention to the students' expectation and demand when setting teaching goals;teachers pay enough attention to the future development of the students when evaluation;ordinary teachers can also play the leading role to some extent.On the other hand,some problems exist: teachers lack of awareness of the teachers' instructional leadership;the relationship of leading and following between teachers and students has not yet been formed;teachers lack the consciousness of active leadership;it is difficult for teachers to play the leading role in the reform of teaching.Finally,this paper puts forward strategies for improving teachers' instructional leadership from two aspects.For teacher,they can improve their instructional leadership by strengthening consciousness of instructional leadership,developing their leadership capability,and trying the practice of leadership.For colleges and universities,they can help teachers improve their instructional leadership by setting up the concept of teachers' leadership,establishing the organization structure of flat management,building the campus culture of cooperation and sharing,strengthening the cultivation of teachers instructional leadership;bringing teachers' instructional leadership into the teachers' evaluation system.
