The internationalization of university teachers is an important path for Chinese universities to reach a high level and even world-class universities.With the development of internationalization of higher education and the promotion of "double-first-class" policy construction,in recent years,many domestic colleges and universities have spared no expense and introduced various preferential policies to introduce a large number of returned teachers in order to cultivate international talents and improve their international competitiveness.With the massive introduction of overseas returnees,the advantages and disadvantages of overseas teachers and local teachers have become a hot topic of discussion in today's society,and academic publication is the most representative achievement of teachers' scientific research productivity.In this context,this study chooses business schools with earlier and higher degree of internationalization as the research object,and further focuses on the top four domestic elite business schools in the international rankings of the world business schools,namely Guanghua School of Management,Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management,Fudan University School of Management and Antai University of Shanghai Jiaotong University.The Academy of Economics and Management has analyzed and studied the academic publications of 576 teachers,including 302 returnees and 274 local teachers.This study focuses on the following three aspects: the status of the introduction of returnees,the impact of international education on the academic publishing of teachers,and the differences between groups in the impact of international education on academic publishing.The results of empirical research show that: 1.Over time,among the newly recruited teachers in the four business schools,the proportion of returnees is getting higher and higher,and the returnees of the returnees are more concentrated,mainly from the United States,Hong Kong and Macao.Taiwan area.2.The international education background has a significant positive impact on the number and quality of SCI/SSCI papers published by teachers,but has a significant negative impact on the number and quality of CSSCI papers published by teachers.It can be said that the returnees are better than the local teachers in the publication of the SCI/SSCI papers,but the local teachers have performed better in the publication of the CSSCI papers,and both have their own advantages and disadvantages.3.The international education background has significant inter-group differences in the degree of influence of teachers on CSSCI and SCI/SSCI papers,especially in the publication of SCI/SSCI papers.Specifically,in terms of gender performance,the influence of international education background on male teachers is greater than that on female teachers;in terms of professional title performance,the influence of international education background on associate professors is greater than that of lecturers and professors;In terms of age group performance,the influence of international education background on middleaged teachers is greater than that on young and old-age teachers.According to the research results,this study puts forward two discussions: First,it is necessary to pay attention to the particularity of the essence of the business school itself,pay attention to the disciplinary differences,and cannot simply rely on the conclusion of quantitative analysis in this paper,that the returnees teachers must be better than the local teachers.Avoid blind internationalization.Second,in the process of talent introduction and recruitment,colleges and universities should pay more attention to the academic potential and academic character of candidates,and use a longer-term and developmental vision to find a real suitable for academic research.Talents,rather than simple non-returns,are not “squatting” and avoid turning recruitment into a tabular,flashy “face project”.
