| In recent years,student engagement has been the focus of academic attention.As a new dimension affecting students’ academic achievement,student engagement has attracted scholars’ attention and exploration.Senior high school students are a special group.In the process of learning input,both the individual level and the school level have a great impact on their academic achievements.Therefore,it is of great importance and far-reaching significance to study the current situation and characteristics of high school students’ student engagement,and to explore the impact of high school students’ learning engagement on their academic achievements,in order to improve their academic achievements and the quality of high school running.This study is based on the research of student engagement.The students of Shihezi Senior High School are taken as the research object.Through questionnaire and personal interview,the questionnaire data and interview data are processed by SPSS 22.0 and EpiData 3.1 software.According to the results of data analysis,this paper elaborates the current situation of high school students’ student engagement,the differences of different dimensions of learning engagement in students’ gender,grade,experience of student cadres,as well as the impact on academic achievement.Then it makes an analysis and exploration from the individual level of students and the school level.Through the attribution analysis of the impact of high school students’ student engagement and academic achievement.Finally,from the perspective of students,teachers and schools,this paper gives some effective countermeasures and suggestions to improve high school students’ student engagement.Through the study,the following conclusions are drawn: first,the greater the high school students’ student investment,the higher their academic achievement;second,there are significant differences in the different dimensions of learning investment in the aspects of gender,grade and student cadre experience of high school students,as long as the targeted investment in educational practice can effectively improve their academic achievement;third,for the indicators of student engagement without significant differences,it still plays an important role in improving the academic achievement of high school students,which needs to be correctly guided in order to improve the quality of school education and teaching.Based on the research data and the actual situation,this study puts forward some suggestions on how to effectively improve the student engagement of senior high school students: first,attaching importance to the learning process and development,practicing the concept of student-oriented education;second,Accurately grasp the characteristics of the subject and emphasize the pertinence of learning input;third,reforming the classroom teaching mode and improving the interaction mechanism between teachers and students;fourth,creating a school environment for educating people and building a supportive school atmosphere. |
