Both the number of Confucius Institutes in Thailand and the number of volunteers sent by Hanban to Thailand are enough to illustrate the momentum of the development of Chinese language teaching in Thailand.However,what corresponds to this Chinese boom is the unsatisfactory effect of Chinese teaching in Thailand.As Chinese teachers in Thailand often say,“No matter where you are assigned,your students are zero-based.” This question is not only in schools where Chinese is an elective course,but also in Chinese where Chinese is a compulsory course.The school also exists,and the problems of the Chinese school are more complicated.This complexity is reflected in many aspects.First of all,the Chinese teaching in Chinese schools is different from the teaching of Chinese as a second language,and it is different from the Chinese language teaching in China,but the teaching method formed by the Chinese teaching tradition.Secondly,the influence of the contradiction between the Chinese Department and the Thai Department caused by the internal rights structure of the Chinese School on Chinese teaching.Finally,the impact of a mixed classroom of Chinese and non-Chinese students on Chinese learning.This thesis is mainly composed of three parts: The first part is the introduction of the basic situation of the TangEng School,including the development of the school,the curriculum of the school,and the management mode of the school.This part can see the backwardness of the teaching tradition retained by the Chinese school,as well as the irrationality in the curriculum setting.At the same time,through the internal administrative power structure of the Chinese school,the power of the Chinese Ministry can be seen to shrink.The second part is mainly for the feedback from the Chinese teachers of the school and the Chinese learners from the fourth grade to the ninth grade.The teachers' problems include: high mobility of teachers,lack of local teachers,the need for local teachers to be improved,and the disadvantages of Chinese-Thai Chinese teachers in isolation.The students' problems include: the gap in students' Chinese proficiency,the lack of students' motivation,and the low achievement of students' Chinese learning.Finally,it analyzes and makes recommendations on the problems existing in the Chinese teaching of the public school in Chanthaburi.The author believes that the reform of the Chinese school should start from three aspects.The first is to recruitteachers through multiple channels,to train and distribute teachers reasonably;the second is to reform the teaching mode and attach importance to the cultivation of skills;the third is to choose suitable teaching materials and comprehensively utilize teaching resources.At the same time,the author believes that the most effective attempt should be to take "diversion teaching" within the Chinese school.
