With the new interpretation of the reading requirements of the new curriculum standards,the international attention to critical thinking and critical reading,critical reading has occupied an increasingly important position,and gradually gained attention in the language subject.Critical reading emphasizes the ability to generalize,interpret,analyze,reason,and evaluate reading materials.Critical reading in Chinese is the embodiment of these abilities in the Chinese language.Based on the junior high school students' group,this study theoretically interprets the critical reading of junior high school students,and understands the critical reading of Chinese from three aspects: constructive understanding,functional application and reflective evaluation.According to this dimension index,this study uses the test method and the questionnaire method,self-edited test papers and influencing factors questionnaires,design evaluation scales,test scales to select the appropriate reading materials,design corresponding test questions according to the objectives,aiming to investigate junior high school students.The performance level and influencing factors of critical reading in Chinese,the evaluation of the overall situation of critical reading of junior high school students,and a preliminary analysis of relevant influencing factors.The research samples covered students from four schools.The SPSS statistical tools were used to conduct statistical analysis of the test results.The conclusions of the study were as follows: the overall level of critical reading of junior high school students was low;the differences in critical reading performance of different questions were significant;The critical reading ability of gender is also different;most factor variables have an important influence on the critical reading level of Chinese.Furthermore,this study proposes relevant recommendations based on the conclusions of this study,and conducts a reflective study on the preparation of the scale itself.
