Investigation On The Present Situation Of Urban Middle School Students’ Values Under The Background Of "Undue-Entertainment"

The mechanism of interaction between the "Undue-entertainment" background and human values is two-way.On the one hand,people living in a "Undue-entertainment"environment are affected by the environment.On the other hand,people with common entertainment preferences gather together,and construct a "Undue-entertainment"environment within the group to meet their entertainment needs.In the current situation of world cultural integration,middle school students should be treated as "world citizens" to discuss the current status of current middle school students’ values,and then explore the education of national values.This study used a questionnaire survey.The pre-investigation invited 46 students from a class in the third grade of a middle school in Tianjin to answer the open questionnaire to understand the entertainment status of middle school students and determine the demographic statistics in the formal questionnaire.The formal survey combined with the characteristics of middle school students selected The Schwartz Portrait Values Questionnaire(PVQ-21)as a measurement tool.A complete secondary school was selected in each of Tianjin urban and suburban areas,and 45 questionnaires were distributed in 45 middle and high schools respectively,and 156 valid questionnaires were finally collected.The study specifically analyzes the "Undue-entertainment" environmental contact situation of urban middle school students,and regards cultural influence and group influence as the influencing factors of middle school students’ values in the background of"Undue-entertainment" and the values of middle school students in the context of"Undue-entertainment".The extreme value system outlines the general situation.The results of the study show that the values of urban middle school students are generally good and positive,but there are inconsistencies in values caused by self-consciousness.In addition,the urban students’ yearning for achievement,and the desire to obtain authoritative identification but not realized are the main reasons for their contact with"Undue-entertainment".This study believes that educators should make full use of positive education methods in the education process,give full respect and encouragement to middle school students,and cultivate their interest in reality.
