| Gu Zhuo,born in Wuxi,Jiangsu Province,an educator in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China,the founder of the Jiangsu Provincial Third Normal School,is involved in many fields of education,especially focus on the normal education,he is a very successful educational practitioner.In today’s society,"educators" have become the strong voice of the era of education development.In-depth exploration and study of local educators in history can better provide a comprehensive reference and reference for the cultivation of today’s educators.However,Gu Zhuo,such a typical local educator,has not received extensive attention and research from the academic community.Based on this,this study selects Gu Zhuo as the research object,explores the relevant historical materials of Gu Zhuo’s individual growth,and combines the existing research results to explore the growth path of Gu Zhuo and the reasons that affect the growth of educators..This study takes Gu Zhuo’s individual growth process as the main line.Through the analysis of Gu Zhuo’s life data,it mainly discusses from five parts.The first part makes a simple review of Gu Zhuo’s early experience,from Gu Zhuo’s family background and Family style,learning experience and the early experience of running education,to find the main factors affecting the development of Gu Zhuo.The second part introduces Gu Zhuo’s main educational practice experience.From the difficult start of Jiangsu Provincial Third Normal School,Gu Zhuo’s educational practice in The Jiangsu Provincial Third Normal School and affiliated primary school,the influence of campus upheaval,and the achievements of the Jiangsu Provincial Third Normal School,have expounded his practice of running school and laid the foundation for later analysis and research.The third part,Gu Zhuo’s resigned from The Jiangsu Provincial Third Normal School due to campus upheaval.After he resigned,he has retired from the education center and his work has changed.He is mainly devoted to rural construction and participate in local governance,but still active in the education sector,and always pay attention to the development of education.The fourth part mainly analyzes the reasons why Gu Zhuo can grow into an educator and successfully establish The Jiangsu Provincial Third Normal School.Finally,based on the research of Gu Zhuo’s individual growth history,this paper analyzes the internal and external factors that influence the growth of educators,and proposes four inspirations for the growth of contemporary educators:adapting to the development of the times,actively using the environment;loving education,taking education as the cause;focus on the combination of theory and practice;base on oneself and improve individual’s physical and mental accomplishment.The conclusion part is mainly based on the analysis of the above content,and it is concluded that Gu Zhuo has made outstanding contributions to local education and promoted the development of modern normaleducation.However,Gu Zhuo’s career involved many fields,and his energy is scattered,so he may have some limitations in some aspects,and has not always adhered to the education center,making him not form a systematic educational thought,and has certain limitations.In view of this,by studying the individual growth history of educators,digging deep into the factors affecting the growth of educators,summing up the experience and lessons of predecessors,not only can promote the spirit of educators,but also help to reveal the laws of the growth of educators,and this will provide support and guarantee for the implementation of the national strategy. |
