Jiangnan is nurtured by the Yangtze River,with crisscross water systems,scattered plains and hills,and rich fish and rice.It enjoys the good reputation of " paradise above and Suzhou and Hangzhou below".Looking back on history,throughout the dynasties,Jiangnan region was a treasure land for storing food and soldiers.The special landscape environment endows the people in the south of the Yangtze River with the characteristics of water villages and the spirit of regional culture.Chinese martial arts have experienced baptism in different historical periods in Jiangnan region,constantly absorbing spiritual elements from the humanistic background and enriching the cultural connotation of regional martial arts.It is bound to form the cultural spirit of Jiangnan Wushu and play its due role in society and people's spiritual life.The research on the cultural spirit of Jiangnan Wushu takes Jiangnan Wushu as the research object and adopts the research methods of documentary,logical analysis,historical analysis,etc.Through collection,sorting and induction,the cultural connotation of Jiangnan Wushu is combed out,thus further refining the cultural spirit of Jiangnan Wushu.This study first defines the concept of Jiangnan martial arts culture,that is,Jiangnan martial arts culture is all the cultural phenomena related to martial arts skills in Jiangnan region,which are created by people in Jiangnan region and run through people's thinking mode and behavior habits,with Chinese traditional culture as the background,Jiangnan regional culture as the core,and martial arts skills as the external manifestation.The cultural connotation of Jiangnan Wushu.Wu and Yue fought for kingship is the historical source of studying martial arts culture in Jiangnan region.Due to the remote geographical location,the war is much less than that in the central plains,providing opportunities for the diversified development of martial arts.However,the three major waves of immigrants in history,the Yongjia Rebellion the Rebellion of An Shi;"The disaster ofJingkang",have the great impact on martial arts in Jiangnan region.A large number of immigrants not only brought excellent culture,but also strengthened the exchange and integration of martial arts between North and South.The phenomenon of valuing literature over martial arts has always existed in all dynasties.With the rise of Neo-Confucianism in the Song and Ming Dynasties,the development of martial arts has gradually shifted from valuing martial arts disdain death to worshipping literature and courtesy.Until the invasion of Japanese pirates and the inflow of western sports,it had a huge impact on the development of martial arts.After the founding of New China,martial arts took a competitive route,and its functions of fitness,health preservation,entertainment and so on were gradually recognized by people.The cultural and spiritual aspects of Jiangnan Wushu.The cultural spirit displayed by Wushu in different historical periods is directly related to the social background and the development of Wushu.Moreover,the cultural spirit of Wushu is not fixed.The same Wushu cultural spirit plays different roles in different historical backgrounds.For example,in the war years,when the political situation was relatively peaceful,there were differences in the cultural spirit of martial arts endowed by the times.Therefore,this article refines the connotation of the following martial arts cultural spirit: bravery spirit of fighting and disdain death,entertainment spirit of fighting and dancing well,open spirit of daring to be the first,martial spirit of protecting the species by powerful countries,fighting spirit of constantly striving for self-improvement,and humility spirit of fighting and worshipping virtue.Martial arts cultural spirit belongs to the culture of value level,and its ultimate purpose is to serve the society and people.
