This paper takes Hainan students as an example to study the influence of new media reading on high school students' extracurricular reading,aiming at finding out the advantages and disadvantages of new media reading and putting forward corresponding countermeasures.By using the methods of questionnaire,literature research and interviews,this paper makes a questionnaire survey on the influence of new media reading on senior high school students' extracurricular reading and makes a detailed analysis,and makes corresponding countermeasures for the problems in students' reading.The introduction part clarifies the reasons for selecting the topic,research methods,research purposes and research significance.The first chapter mainly explains the concept of new media and the current situation of senior high school students' new media reading.Chapter two takes senior high school students in Hainan as the object of study,through questionnaires of students and interviews with teachers,to understand the problems existing in students' reading in new media.The content of the survey is the motivation of high school students' new media reading,the purpose of new media reading,the way of new media reading and the obstacles of new media reading.By investigating the high school students in two schools in Hainan,this paper finds out the influence of new media reading on students' extracurricular reading.The survey found that although new media reading is favored by sample students,students' media literacy is generally not high and their ability to process information is low.Faced with the problems of students,the third chapter studies the reading strategies based on the first two chapters,mainly from four aspects.First,the influence of parents is very important,secondly,the guidance of teachers,thirdly,students should strengthen their own reading ability,especially the ability of new media reading,and finally,the impact of school environment.
