Study On The Relationship Between Arts Students And Full-Time Counsellors’ Role Positioning In The Case Of Anhui Huangmei Opera Art Vocational College

Art students,because of the peculiarity of their majors and the unique ways of training,has long been a special group of college students.They are distinctive,independent,lively and cheerful,and are heedless of trifle formality.These characteristics have posed great difficulties for college counselors.In view of the increasing number of art students in vocational colleges,counselors are facing greater challenges in terms of management: how to manage the students efficiently according to their professional characteristics and provide better service for their growth.As the backbone of management teams of vocational colleges,counselors play a vital role in guiding the ideological and political work of art students.This paper analyzes the characteristics of art students and investigates the status quo of student management.The survey shows that art students are different from other students in all aspects.In this paper,the author utilized questionnaires and comparative analysis as research methods,followed the basic methodology of “presenting problems-analyzing the problems-solving the problems”,on the basis of which the paper tried to comb in detail the management theory and practice of counselors at home and abroad.Based on this,this paper focuses on the counselors management practices in Anhui Huangmei Opera Art Vocational College,investigates the present situation and characteristics of counselors’ management work through questionnaires,and finds that in respect of student management work of Anhui Huangmei Opera Art Vocational College,the school’s counselors do not take specific strategies that suit the characteristics of these art students and therefore poses many problems,such as the irrational positioning of student management work,the incompatibility between student management system and needs of social development,and outdated management philosophies and so forth.In line with the specific student management work of the school,the author explores further into the management of art students in vocational colleges and tries to provide insights into improving the construction of management system,focusing on emotional investment,promoting students’ self-management,conducting penetrating education and enhancing crisis management.Through this study,the author expects to provide benefits to the construction of a professional and qualified college counselor team that operates on the principle of people-oriented,and actively innovates student management strategies,reinforces their education and management ability,so that they could cope with the new features and problems in the management work of art students.Lastly,the author hopes the paper could contribute to the promotion of management quality of vocational colleges,and to providing a better platform and better service for the development of art students.
