Rural micro-schools are small-scale schools formed in the process of urbanization due to the dramatic reduction of the number of students in rural areas.The total number of students in these schools is generally less than 200,the number of classes is small,the number of classes is not complete primary schools and teaching points.As an important part of compulsory education,rural small and micro schools play an important role in serving the relatively difficult groups in rural areas and consolidating and improving the popularization level of compulsory education.Strengthening the development of rural small and micro schools is conducive to guaranteeing near enrollment,promoting the balanced development of education,and implementing the strategy of rural revitalization.Through the investigation of 7 small and micro schools in S city,we find that there are many problems in rural small and micro schools,such as serious loss of students,serious shortage of qualified teachers,urgent improvement of school management level,imperfect teaching facilities,and improvement of education and teaching quality.The main causes of the above problems are accelerating the process of urbanization,accelerating the rural population loss,insufficient attraction of teaching environment for teachers in rural small and micro schools,lack of principals' leadership,rural special environment is not conducive to the development of school education,and government investment is still insufficient.In order to further develop small and micro schools in rural areas,the administrative departments of education should rationally plan the layout and invest on demand;the state should increase the cultivation of principals' educational feelings,management and teaching ability,and leadership;the government should improve teachers' subsidies,strengthen the inclination of professional titles,provide targeted training,make use of excellent teachers in various ways,and localize and orientate general practitioners to train general practitioners to promote the level of teachers;schools should adapt to local conditions,improve the teaching of courses;society should create a good atmosphere for rural education.
