The core competencies of disciplines is widely applied to teaching practice and has raised a large wave of research since it is first proposed in 2017.General technology curriculum puts its emphasis on practice and innovative design,and is closely connected to science and humanity.Its classroom teaching mainly combines with technical practice projects.PBL(Projects Based Learning)centers on the acquisition of disciplinary conceptual principles with the help of propelled projects.Its teaching philosophy is consistent with general technology curriculum,both of them highlight independent thinking and practice;knowledge and techniques are obtained through a series of self-learning,collaborative learning and explorative learning processes.Thus,the Design and Implementation of PBL Teaching for High School General Technology Core Competencies is proposed.Based on the characteristics of general technology curriculum,its elements and teaching procedure are explained through literature survey.Combined with the cultivating targets of the core competencies,the PBL teaching design model for high school general technology core competencies is established.The model includes four aspects:"teaching objectives,project selection and design,student inquiry,evaluation feedback".The "student inquiry" link should pay attention to the design of both teacher activities and student activities.The teachers' activities include instructions'giving,diagnosing and evaluating,organizing and managing as well as environment's building.As for students'activities,information processing,collaborative exploring,product making,achievement exhibiting and exchanging are covered.The project Architecture and Bridge Modeling is designed based on the PBL model,in which product evaluation and questionnaire survey are adopted to analyze and determine the application value of the PBL teaching design model.The PBL teaching model can improve students'interest and enthusiasm in general technology class,as also can improve the efficiency of general technology class teaching.The PBL teaching design model proposed in this paper could provide a solid reference for elementary teaching and the development of general technology curriculum.The teaching case Architecture and Bridge Modeling is quite typical and could be referred to concerning general technology teaching.The conclusion put forward in this paper could also provide an innovative approach to the high-school oriented general technology's disciplinary core competencies cultivation.
