With the deepening development of economic globalization,the links between countries in the world are increasingly close.This puts forward higher requirements for the quality of our citizens.At the same time,after long-term efforts,socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,and China has ushered in a bright prospect of realizing the Chinese dream of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.The socialist market economy continues to mature,the construction of socialist democratic politics continues to advance,and the construction of socialist ecological civilization develops in depth.In order to cultivate qualified citizens who can meet the needs of current economic and social development,China has gradually increased its emphasis on civic education,focusing on the extensive absorption of experience and lessons from other countries,and exploring civic education suitable for its own national conditions.Nowadays,many countries in the world have offered civic education courses in primary and secondary schools,and India is no exception.The National Curriculum Framework 2005,which was launched in India,is based on the Indian social science curriculum and provides a concrete implementation framework for civic education in Indian primary and secondary schools.Primary and secondary schools are an important stage of compulsory education in China,representing the basic level of education for all,so civic education in primary and secondary schools has an important mission.Social science is recognized as the most important course of civic education in schools all over the world.India,as one of the BRICS countries,has enjoyed strong economic development in recent years and has become one of the fastest growing countries in the world.At the same time,the achievements of civic education have attracted worldwide attention.This study aims to give some inspiration to the ideological and political education in China through the civic education of social science curriculum in primary schools in India.There are five parts in this study.The introduction part clarifies the research background,concept definition,research summary,research methods and other issues.The second part elaborates on the definition of citizen education and its relationship with social science curriculum.The third part analyses the objectives of civic education in Social Sciences in India.The fourth part elaborates on the teaching methods of social science courses in India.The fifth part summarizes the experience and lessons of civic education in Social Sciences in India,with a view to giving enlightenment to our ideological and political education.
