Research On Chinese Elderly People's Social Participation Pattern And Its Related Problems

The aging of population is a hot topic that the academia,the public and the government all pay close attention to.With the improvement of people's living standard and medical conditions,the extension of people's life expectancy is almost an inevitable result.However,aging also brings many problems,such as the decrease of labor supply and the increase of social dependency ratio,which requires us to pay attention to and take active measures to deal with.To scientifically and effectively deal with the problems caused by the aging population,it is necessary to practice the "active aging".The core is the social participation of the elderly,that is,to encourage the elderly to use their knowledge and experience to continue to "contribute to the old" in social,economic and other fields.The social participation of the elderly can not only alleviate the problem of labor supply shortage to a certain extent,but also guide the elderly to reintegrate into the society in an active and promising manner and help them adapt to the later life after role adjustment.The social participation modes of the elderly can be divided into work type,social type,leisure and entertainment type and family type.Different social participation modes have different influences on the happiness of the elderly and have different transmission effects between generations.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the social participation patterns of the elderly and related issues.In this context,based on the existing research,this paper has done the following work and drawn the following conclusions:(1)The disordered multi-classification logistic regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors of the social participation pattern of the elderly.The religious belief or not has no significant influence on the recreational and family social participation pattern;The more educated the elderly are,the more likely they are to be participants in a recreational society.(2)Introduce relevant independent variables in turn and use orderly multi-classification logistic regression to draw a relatively stable conclusion: the happiness of participants in the leisure and entertainment society is the strongest,while that of participants in the work society is the lowest.(3)To overcome the comparison object heterogeneity problem,using tend to score matching method(PSM)studied the old social participation mode for family social participation(for example)affect children's income,the conclusion is: theelderly at home and help the elderly to help look after children will create a positive significant role in promoting income for their children.This research perspective is the innovation point of the whole paper.So far,no related articles have been found to use the propensity score matching method to study this problem.
