The concept of geometry is an important part of elementary mathematics.The elementary school is an important period to help students to establish the concept of space and cultivate geometry intuition and reasoning ability.The study of geometric concepts is not only of great significance to the further study of complicated graphics and geometry knowledge,but also conducive to the cultivation of students' spatial concepts and geometric intuitive ability.Firstly,this paper comprehensively analyzes,understands and sorts out the status quo of the study on mathematical concept learning of primary school students at home and abroad,and takes 271 primary school students as the research object.By means of questionnaire survey,interview and test paper,this paper conducts an in-depth investigation on the problems and causes in the geometric concept learning of primary school students.The study found that the main problems in the geometry concept learning of senior primary school students are: the ability to perceive graphics and reading conversion ability is low;Focusing only on the concept of "shape",can not accurately grasp the connotation;Obfuscate the subordination between concepts;Old and new concepts don't mix;Difficulty in identifying similar concepts;Difficult to understand abstract concepts,etc.Based on the investigation and test results,the paper analyzes the causes of the problems in students' learning of geometric concepts.Finally based on the elementary school higher grades students the problems exist in the geometric concept learning strategy,there are mainly students hands-on experience,using information technology presents the concept,refine keyword deep analysis,using teaching variant to identify a single concept,by comparison to identify similar concept,organization methods of the integrated use of a variety of characterization,pay attention to language representation,innovative use of concept map,etc.In order to lay a solid foundation for students to learn geometry content and provide valuable reference for teachers.
