Ideological and political education is an important part of the spirit of casting and educating people all over the world,but different countries have different names,although the United States does not have the word of ideological and political education,but also carries out substantive ideological and political education,known as civic education,and has accumulated some successful methods and experiences.On the issue of ideological and political education in colleges and universities in China and the United States,there are some similarities in educational methods between the two countries,and there are also many differences.China is a country of the socialist system,while the United States implements a capitalist system,the differences in the social system will inevitably lead to many differences in ideology and ideology between the two countries,through the comparison of the methods of ideological and political education in two countries,it can help us to tap the advantages of American civic education,to promote the more perfect ideological and political education system in our country,and to further enhance the timeliness and relevance of ideological and political work in colleges and universities in China.Through the analysis and research of this subject,the methods of ideological and political education between China and the United States are compared,which lays a solid theoretical foundation for the smooth development of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.Starting with defining the concept and relationship between ideological and political education and civic education,this paper focuses on the methods and characteristics of American college civic education and ideological and political education in colleges and universities in China,and makes a comparative analysis of the similarities and differences between the two,pointing out that the similarities between the two are as the main methods,and social practice is supplemented as necessary.Campus culture construction as a cooperation extension,psychological counseling as an effective help.The difference between the two lies in the heavy implicit education in the United States,the re-explicit education in China,the rerecognition of the United States,the re-indoctrination of China,the re-education of religion in the United States,the non-religious education in China,the trinity of civic education in the United States,and the one-way ideological Combining with the main problems existing in ideological and political education in colleges and universities in China and the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at the Teachers symposium of ideological and political theory in schools,this paper points out that there should be six combinations in the process of ideological and political education in colleges and universities in China,which is a combination of indoctrination method and cognitive method to The combination of general curriculum and curriculum thinking,imperceptible overall education,the combination of educational subject and receiving subject,enhance counseling guidance and humanistic care,professional team and information technology combination,promote the network construction of college students ideological and political education,The combination of local thinking and political and world thinking promotes global ethics and cross-cultural values,and combines system theory with practice link to optimize the effect of internal to external integration.In order to cultivate the new era of national rejuvenation as a newcomer,to train moral all-round development of socialist builders and successors to lay a solid foundation.
