Picture book reading is an important form of developing children’s early reading ability.At present,most researches on picture book reading for children with autism focus on using picture book reading as an intervention method to intervene in the cognition and problem behavior of children with autism.The characteristics of children’s reading comprehension ability of picture book texts were analyzed,and the intervention was carried out based on this clue.Generally speaking,children with a PPVT age of 4-6 years old basically have the ability to read picture books.Therefore,this paper takes autistic children with a language age of 4-6 years old with PPVT as the research object,and firstly examines the text genre of picture books(fictional picture books).,non-fiction picture books)and the text information dimension of picture books(obvious information,implicit information),the influence of two factors on the reading comprehension ability of children with autism picture books,and compared with ordinary children whose language ability is matched to understand children with autism Picture book reading features.Secondly,based on the conclusions of the characteristic research,aiming at the weakness of autistic children’s picture book reading comprehension ability,with the help of the story structure teaching strategy,a singlesubject experimental design was used to intervene on three autistic children,to explore the effectiveness of the intervention strategy.The specific research results are as follows:1.A study on the characteristics of autistic children’s picture book reading comprehension abilityThe picture book reading comprehension ability of children with autism will be significantly affected by picture book genres(p=0.044<0.05);the reading comprehension scores of non-fiction picture books of autistic children are significantly higher than those of fictional picture books,while ordinary children’s reading comprehension ability of picture books of different genres is significantly higher than that of fictional picture books.There was no significant difference in reading comprehension ability((p=0.797>0.05),indicating that different genres of picture book content have different comprehension difficulties for children with autism.The picture book reading comprehension ability of autistic children is significantly affected by different dimensions of text information(p<0.01).From the perspective of text information dimension,the study found that children with autism scored significantly higher in the dimension of explicit information than in the dimension of implicit information,indicating that different dimensions have different understanding difficulties for children with autism.However,ordinary children were not affected by the difference between explicit information and implicit information(p>0.05).Between groups,there was no significant difference in the reading comprehension ability of the explicit information dimension between the autistic children and the ordinary children who matched the vocabulary level(p>0.05),but there was a significant difference in the reading comprehension ability of the implicit information dimension.The difference(p<0.01)provided a preliminary basis for the next intervention in this study.2.Intervention research on picture book reading comprehension ability of children with autismBased on the conclusions of the research on the characteristics of autistic children,it can be seen that the main reason for the weaker reading comprehension ability of autistic children than ordinary children is the weak understanding of implicit information.Therefore,the intervention research will update the teaching strategy of story structure and adjust the original story.House structure,and the single-subject experiment method was used to verify that the modified strategy has a significant intervention effect on the picture book reading comprehension ability of children with autism.In general,starting from the genre of picture books and the dimensions of text information,this study preliminarily explored the characteristics of picture book reading comprehension ability of autistic children with PPVT language ages of 4-6years old,and based on the characteristics of the research conclusions,an intervention study was carried out to prevent loneliness.The clinical intervention of picture book reading comprehension ability in children with schizophrenia provides a very practical strategy.However,due to the limitation of the number of subjects in the study,more dimensions could not be considered in the reading comprehension ability of picture books.At the same time,the intervention stage is limited by time,and the maintenance status of the intervention still needs to be further verified.I hope that there will be opportunities to continue in-depth research in the future.. |
