Nowadays,with the comprehensive advancement of higher education reform,college teachers shoulder not only the heavy task of training high-quality human resources for modern society,but also the heavy task of scientific research.All these have brought enormous work stress to college teachers.Long-term excessive work stress will not only affect the physical and mental health of college teachers,but also cause physical fatigue and job burnout.Problems such as mental anxiety will affect the overall atmosphere and work performance of college organizations,and are not conducive to social stability and sustainable economic development.How to improve the work performance of college teachers while reasonably managing work stress has become a common problem faced by the government and college organizations as well as college teachers.Based on two concepts of work stress and work performance of college teachers,the research uses literature analysis,questionnaire survey and statistical analysis to study the relationship between work stress and work performance of college teachers.Firstly,on the basis of analyzing the relevant research results and literature at home and abroad,the concepts and theoretical basis of college teachers' work stress and work performance are clarified,which provides theoretical support for the further study in the following chapters.Secondly,through the empirical study of college teachers in Tianjin,the research further understands the current situation of college teachers' work stress and work performance in Tianjin,and deeply analyses the relationship between work stress and work performance of college teachers in Tianjin.By using IBM SPSS Statistics to analyze the reliability and validity,difference and correlation of the collected data,the conclusions are as follows: there is a significant correlation between the work stress of college teachers in Tianjin and their work performance.There is a partially significant correlation between the dimensions of work stress and work performance of college teachers in Tianjin.All kinds of work stress factors of college teachers in Tianjin can be divided into positive stress and negative stress.There is a partially significant positive correlation between positive stress and work performance,and a partially significant negative correlation between negative stress and work performance.Moreover,there are differences in the work stress and work performance of college teachers in Tianjin with different individual characteristics,and the correlation between work stress and work performance of college teachers in Tianjin with different individual characteristics is also different.Finally,On the basis of empirical analysis above and theory,strategies were put forward about how to solve problems of work stress and improve work performance.
