The latest National Vocational Education Reform Program released in February 2019 has become a blueprint for the development of vocational education in the new era.Vocational education should adopt social pluralism to run schools and form a pattern with distinct professional characteristics.It should stress quality improvement instead of scale expansion,and train high-quality technical and skilled personnel to adapt to the continuous optimization of the economic structure.Only knowledge-based,skill-based and innovative workers can play a major role in the upgrading of modern industries and adapt to the development of the new era.Higher vocational colleges are an important part of higher education,which undertakes the important task of training high-skilled and high-quality talents for the society.Its target is to cultivate all-round applied talents with vocational skills as the center and adapting to the needs of production,international competition and sustainable development.It plays a vital role in promoting social development.In the personnel training system of higher vocational colleges,the first class is mainly based on mastering basic knowledge and professional skills,and the teachers should strictly abide by the curriculum,teaching arrangements,classroom management and teacher structure.Which plays an irreplaceable educational function that the first classroom cannot,the second class should give full play to its advantages combining practice with theory in a flexible and innovative way and make full use of spare time.However,The second class activities in higher vocational colleges lack overall planning and policy support.There are phenomena of mere formality and mere superficiality so it did not play its due role.At present,the second class activities in higher vocational colleges are still in the stage of exploration and development in China.There are also many problems in practice,which need to be further explored and studied.Taking Hebei G Vocational College as the blueprint,we explore the current situation and problems of the second class activities in higher vocational colleges,and analyze the causes of the problem through interviews,visits and other ways to put forward the corresponding countermeasure,so as to realize the innovation of talent training mode in higher vocational colleges,and find new methods for the sustainable development of comprehensive ability of higher vocational talents.There are five parts in this paper.The first part is the introduction,which elaborates the background,purpose and significance of this topic and give a definition of "vocational college" and "the second class",and compare the domestic and foreign research directions.It establishes the research perspective and train of thought.The second part is the summary of the second class activities in Higher Vocational colleges,which focuses on its characteristics,functions and principles by using the literature method.The third part is about the current situation of the second class activities in Hebei G Vocational College.Questionnaires and interviews are used to carry out the research.Questionnaires were sent out for data investigation,data analysis,interviews with teachers and students,and problems were found.The fourth part is about the problems and causes of the second class activities in G Vocational College.Combining with the overall development of the school,the characteristics of higher vocational students and the demand of the talent market,the paper explores the root causes and underlying causes of the problems in the second class activities and explores the way of sustainable development.The fifth part is the countermeasure research,which includes the analysis of the second class activities from the management and participant levels,and to promot the long-term effectiveness of the second class activities from policy support and management,and to tap the potential of students from the aspects of activity process,activity implementation and activity evaluation to standardize participation and improve all-round development.The second class activities in Higher Vocational Colleges gradually show an indispensable role in personnel training,the effect of its activities exerts a subtle influence on thinking.It also can improve realm of seeking knowledge,opening up professional category and enhancing practice.Therefore,we should further explore the focus of the second class activities and seek a Long-term implementation mechanism of the second class activities.We also should deepen the significance of the second class activities and make the second class activities of higher vocational colleges develop benignly.
