As well as a typical process of solving practical problems using mathematical thinking methods,the mathematical modeling is also a process of active construction for a learner.Based on the perspective of constructivism,this research explores not only mathematical models,modeling methods,teaching methods,guiding strategies and evaluation criteria for junior middle school students,but the way to guide them to develop mathematical modeling activities more effectively through practical activities.This research is based on the theories of constructivism,problem solving,meta cognition and so on.By combing the history and current situation of junior high school mathematical modeling at home and abroad,this thesis summarizes the problems in the development of mathematical modeling in china.From the point of view of modeling teaching,there is a deviation in the understanding of mathematical modeling between teachers and students.Besides,mathematical modeling lacks relevant educational evaluation system,and teachers lack enough knowledge and have no access to resources,which will make mathematical modeling teaching more difficult.From the aspect of the practice of modeling courses,the problem we need to solve is as follows:1.How can we integrate mathematical modeling activities into the regular curriculum?2.How do you evaluate the results of mathematical modeling?3.How can we develop and utilize the resources of mathematical modeling4.What should we do to support the teaching design and instruction of mathematical modeling with the help of relevant theories?5.How can we formulate the teaching strategies of mathematical modeling?We record the complete implementation process of four junior high school mathematics modeling practice in the form of case analysis and study the process of modeling,the results and the guidance of teachers.Finally,combined with the reality of junior high school students,the paper summed up the junior high school mathematics modeling teaching methods,guiding strategies and evaluation criteria.Combined with the cases of mathematical modeling practice,this study finds out that the mathematical model for junior high school students is algebraic model,elementary function model,statistical model,simulation model,discrete model,elementary geometry model,linetar programming model and interdisciplinary synthesis model and so on.The way to do research on them include theoretical analysis,idealized methods,analogy analysis,data fitting and simulation methods.Their teaching methods includes demonstration from teachers,independent learning and group discussion,the guidance in choices of topics,bettering the model by communicating fully and so on.The strategy for junior high school students’ guidance is to pay attention to the educational value of mathematical modeling,to cultivate students’awareness of problems,to encourage innovation,to pay attention to the strengths and weak:nesses,and to develop their individuality.The evaluation criteria include the fullness of proposal,the achievement of autonomous learning,the new angles of problems,the full extent of survey and methods chosen,the solving process of creativity,the effect of cooperative learning,the characteristics,development in vision and the improvement of the mathematics quality. |
