Everyone's life is inseparable from reading.We need to acquire knowledge and information.The most common and most important way is reading.Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standard(2011 edition)and General Senior High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard(experimental draft)both point out that we should advocate reading self-study and various learning methods.The curriculum standard also puts forward an important learning method-"Mathematics Reading".More and more experts and scholars recognize the importance of mathematical reading and the important role of reading in cultivating "mathematical thinking",but many primary and secondary school front-line teachers do not pay enough attention to the cultivation of students' mathematical reading ability.Mathematics reading ability can not be acquired overnight.Teachers and students should attach great importance to it and cultivate it from primary school mathematics learning.Based on the analysis of the current situation of pupils' mathematics reading,this paper investigates pupils' understanding,purpose and interest in mathematics reading by means of questionnaires,and studies the frequent problems of pupils' mathematics problem solving.This paper first introduces the research status and research methods of mathematics reading at home and abroad,and introduces the contents of "reading","mathematical reading","mathematical reading ability","mathematical reading characteristics" and "classification of mathematical reading",so as to reveal the important role of "mathematical reading" in cultivating mathematical thinking.Next,according to the current situation of primary school students' mathematics reading,the following training strategies are put forward: nurturing atmosphere,stimulating interest;gradual and step-by-step improvement;method guidance,promoting thinking;diversified forms,rich content;overall grasp,understanding and mastery.
