A Study On The Co-parenting Conflicts Between Grandparents And Parents Of Urban Children Aged 0-3 Years

The period between 0 and 3 years old is the most critical period for people's physical and mental development.It can be seen that family and family members play an extremely important role in the growth process of infants and young children.The important factors that influence the development of infants' physical and mental health are the consistency of family education and the harmonious atmosphere of family education.In the process of parental care,conflicts often occur between the two generations on some educational issues,which will bring adverse effects on the growth and development of infants and young children.In order to improve the quality of co-parenting,give full play to the positive role of co-parenting,and promote the physical and mental health development of urban 0-3 years old infants,this study takes the co-parenting families of 0-3 years old children in Jiu Longpo District of Chongqing as the object of study.Through the methods of questionnaire,field observation and interview,this paper makes an in-depth study of the current situation of urban co-parenting families and the conflicts in the process of education.The results show that there are conflicts in the concept of family upbringing,content of upbringing,and way of upbringing between the grand parenting and parental parenting of urban children aged 0-3 years,and there are also obvious differences in the measures to deal with conflicts.The study also found that social transformation,cultural transformation,family internal contradictions and other factors are the main reasons for the parenting conflict between generations.The author suggests that education should be formed through intergenerational and parental responsibilities,strive to build a harmonious family education atmosphere,and make full use of social education resources to alleviate the conflict between grandparental and parental education.so as to improve the level of co-parenting between grandparents and parents of urban children aged 0-3 years old.
