Attaching great importance to education and taking "education power" as its consensus,China is promoting the development of education modernization,as its core is to enhance the modernization of people.Principals,for whom professional development is extremely important,are the main body of education for the development of human resources.People are paying more attention to the quality of the training of primary and middle school principals.Maoming,as an underdeveloped city in Guangdong Province,is still at backward level in education.Faced with the requirements of education modernization proposed by the government,Maoming is now in need of a group of high-quality primary and middle school principals who are capable to effectively call existing resources and develop the education.I have been engaged in the training of primary and middle school principals for many years and found that the quality of them is not good enough.This research attempts to enhance the quality of primary and secondary school principals' training in Maoming,by sorting out the domestic and overseas relevant research on the training of primary and middle school principals,therefore,to draw on some valuable research inspiration.Based on the theory of the training transfer,and combined with collected relevant literature,this research carries out an in-depth investigation of A College's training for primary and middle school principals in Maoming over the years and selects three representative workshops as objects.By taking “Primary and Middle School Principal Workshop in Binhai New Area,Maoming” as a case,and with follow-ups,this research also conducts a questionnaire survey and interviews with the participant principals,related administrators in Education Department and training institution.As a result,the researchfound that the training of primary and secondary school principals in Maoming is faced with the lack of driving force of potential learning,insufficient accuracy of the training curriculum,deficient training quality assessment system and poor implementation of training transfer environment.However,some countermeasures have been proposed for the situations mentioned above:1.Improve the the training of principal policy system and formulate the needs of the training in later stage;2.Optimize the training management system and pay attention to the assessment mechanism of training;3.Enhance the training curriculum and focus on the needs of principal's personality development;4.Complete the training quality assessment system and add the evaluation of transferring results of the training in later stage;5.Build platforms on which training transfer can be implemented and attentively complete school-based teacher training.
